  • According to the Philly Voice, Philadelphia Eagles rookie HB Donnel Pumphrey is expected to be inactive at the start of the season, should he even make the team’s final roster.
  • The former San Diego State Aztec has endured a rough preseason to date, catching seven passes for 32 yards and rushing seven times for two yards. His 1.14 yards per route run is the lowest mark in Philadelphia’s backfield. Pumphrey has only forced one missed tackle on 14 touches, giving him a 7.1 elusive rating (84th among qualifying running backs).
  • During his final year of college, Pumphrey led the FBS with 38 runs of 15 yards or more. His 47.0 breakaway percentage was 11th-best among running backs, so the Eagles may see his potential as a reason to keep him on their 53-man squad.
