- Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported that Oakland Raiders running back Marshawn Lynch has been suspended by the NFL for one game after he contacted an official Thursday against Kansas City. Lynch will miss the Raiders Week 8 game against the Buffalo Bills, the team that drafted him in 2007.
- After a one-year retirement, Lynch has returned this season and is PFF's 31st ranked running back so far with a 72.4 overall grade. His 94.1 mark in 2014 was a career high, and ranked first that year at running back and seventh overall.
- Lynch has forced 16 missed tackles in 76 touches this season, and ranks tenth in PFF elusive rating (a runner's success beyond the point of being helped by his blockers). Oakland will have to rely on DeAndre Washington and Jalen Richard at running back in Week 8.
