  • Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported that the Oakland Raiders and left tackle Donald Penn have agreed to terms on a contract extension. Penn held out briefly during training camp before rejoining the team. The extension is reportedly for two years and $21M.
  • Penn joined the Raiders in 2014 and his PFF grade has ranked in the top 12 among offensive tackles each season in Oakland. In 2016 Penn's PFF grade of 86.3 was 12th of 76 qualifying tackles.
  • In Week 1 against Tennessee, Penn allowed only one hurry in 35 pass block snaps. Last season he allowed only 28 total pressures in 621 pass block attempts, and was the only offensive tackle in the NFL that played 500-plus pass block snaps and allowed just one sack.
