- Joe Machota of the Dallas Morning News says free agent QB Johnny Manziel has had a couple conversations with NFL teams about returning to the league. Due to off-the-field issues, no team picked up Manziel in 2016 and he missed all of last season.
- Of the three quarterbacks taken in the first round of the 2014 NFL Draft (Manziel, Blake Bortles, and Teddy Bridgewater), Manziel’s adjusted completion percentage of 70.6 percent in 2015 was second.
- Out of 40 quarterbacks who threw at least 15 deep passes (20-plus yards in the air) in 2015, Manziel’s deep ball accuracy of 50 percent was tied for second with Ben Roethlisberger; Drew Brees finished first at 50.6 percent.
