New England Patriots 22, Tennessee Titans 17

New England Patriots

Undrafted rookie NC State wide receiver Jakobi Meyers is putting on a clinic this preseason. Meyers' releases at the line of scrimmage left several Titans defenders in the dust, and he finished the day with multiple receptions of 15-plus yards.

A first-round talent on PFF's board turned third-round gift to the Pats, Chase Winvoch was a one-man wrecking crew against Tennessee. The former Michigan edge defender was seemingly unblockable in run defense and rushing the passer. He recorded multiple pressures and several other positive marks in run defense.

Tennessee Titans

Veteran off-ball linebacker and core special teamer Darren Bates made multiple stops and missed zero tackles across his defensive snaps on Saturday night. He also allowed very few yards in coverage.

Titans tight ends Anthony Firkser and Delanie Walker both turned in stellar performances against the Patriots. The duo combined for 58 receiving yards and a touchdown in the contest.

New England Patriots

Guard Ted Karras struggled significantly in pass protection and picked up a few negative marks in the run game. The 2016 sixth-rounder had a good outing in the Pats' first preseason game, but it wasn't his night on Saturday.

Fellow edge defender Keionta Davis didn't have the night Winovich had on Saturday. He struggled to get off blocks in the run game and was easily handled by Tennessee's front five when rushing the passer.

Tennessee Titans

An undrafted safety from the 2018 class, Joshua Kalu allowed multiple first downs in coverage and did little to counter his mistakes elsewhere.

Jamil Douglas, a 2014 fifth-rounder, struggled significantly in pass protection, allowing at least one pressure and picking up negative grades on several other plays, as well. And things didn't look much better for Douglas in the run game, either.
