- According to Mike Jones on Twitter, the Carolina Panthers have waived CB Zack Sanchez.
- The second-year pro logged 148 snaps over the four preseason games for the Panthers, including 68 in coverage. He performed well in coverage this preseason, allowing just 4-of-9 targets thrown his way to be caught, for just 33 yards. He intercepted one pass thrown into his coverage and saw just a 14.6 passer rating on those nine targets, the fifth-lowest of any cornerback to log at least 27 snaps in coverage this preseason.
- He did however, miss a total of three tackles on defense this preseason, two in run defense and another against the pass, tied for third-most of any cornerback.
