- The New York Jets have released WR Marquess Wilson, and in a corresponding move have signed undrafted free agent TE Brandon Barnes. Barnes, a former Alabama State TE, who was waived by the Lions earlier this month.
- Wilson played in three games for the Chicago Bears last season, logging just 80 total snaps. Though the sample size was small, he earned a career-high grade of 75.5.
- Wilson played 14 snaps against the Tennessee Titans in the first week of the preseason. He was targeted on four of his nine routes, and received a game grade of 68.3, the fifth-highest wide receiver grade on the Jets.
