  • The New York Giants have released DE Owamagbe Odighizuwa, just a day after he was hit with a four-game suspension for violating the league’s policy against PEDs. Odighizuwa was a third-round pick in 2015, but has failed to live up to expectations in the NFL.
  • In two seasons of NFL action, he has seen just 299 total snaps and graded consistently below average, with overall marks of just 38.8 and 46.1 over the season. He has just one game with an above average grade – a two-sack performance against the Bengals last season in Week 10.
  • Odighizuwa has played 50 snaps for the Giants this preseason before his release, and was no more effective than he had been in the past. He recorded a hurry in each game, but no additional pressure, and other than an assist in his first preseason action, was entirely blanked from the stat sheet in all other areas.
