- ESPN's Jordan Raanan reported that New York Giants left tackle Ereck Flowers is having problems with technique flaws and inconsistency during training camp, the same issues that have plagued him his first two seasons.
- Flowers showed some slight improvement last season, as his overall PFF grade increased from 35.5 (70th of 72 qualifying tackles) in 2015 to 50.2 (63rd of 77) in 2016.
- Flowers has struggled with pass protection, allowing the most total pressures in the NFL the last two seasons at 128. In 2016, he ranked 60th of 74 tackles in PFF's pass blocking efficiency (pressures allowed per snap with weighting toward sacks) at 92.7.
