  • Philadelphia Eagles RB Darren Sproles left the game with the New York Giants this week with a broken arm, but it is now being reported that he tore his ACL on the same play.
  • Darren Sproles had been leading the Philadelphia backfield committee in playing time, with 89 snaps before going down hurt, which is still more than the 73 Wendell Smallwood has after three games and the 52 from LeGarrette Blount.
  • Sproles’ PFF receiving grade of 70.6 is by far the best of the Eagles’ backs, with the next-best mark that of Blount (65.3).
  • Sproles has 12 targets through three games, which is three times more than the next-highest Eagles back (Smallwood). His loss means the Eagles need to think about a solution to their pass-catching running back spot.
