Dolphins believe Matt Moore could start elsewhere

  • Offensive coordinator Clyde Christiansen recently stated Moore “could start for a bunch of teams,” and his play down the stretch last year makes a compelling argument. He led Miami on a game-winning drive against the Cardinals in relief of injured starter Ryan Tannehill in Week 14, and played well to finish out the regular season, putting the team into the playoffs for the first time since 2008.
  • Moore’s 113.4 QB rating when in a clean pocket from Week 15 through Week 17 ranked seventh in the league
  • When faced with pressure during those three games, his 91.2 QB rating ranked third among QBs with at least 25 pass attempts under duress
  • He also performed well when getting rid of the ball quickly, as his 72.9 completion percentage when throwing the ball in 2.5 seconds or less ranked ninth, as did his QB rating of 111.7.
