  • Per Nicki Jhabvala, Denver Broncos wide receiver Carlos Henderson suffered a thumb injury in Thursday’s preseason game against the Chicago Bears, and is scheduled to undergo a procedure Sunday. The team will reportedly not have a timetable for Henderson’s return until after the operation.
  • Henderson displayed deep-threat potential in college, grabbing seven touchdowns on deep passes (20 yards or more), good for 14th out of 215 qualifying receivers. This was further highlighted by his zero drops on deep passes, landing him in a five-way tie for first among wide receivers with 135-plus targets.
  • The Louisiana Tech product also averaged 3.55 yards per route run last year, ranking him third among all college wide receivers with at least 135 targets. Only current Tennessee Titans receivers Corey Davis and Taywan Taylor ranked higher.
  • Henderson logged eight total snaps in Thursday’s preseason game, finishing the game with one catch for seven yards. He was only targeted once.
