- Dallas cowboys QB Dak Prescott and WR Dez Bryant are working on growing their on-field chemistry according to Jon Machota of dallasnews.com. The Cowboys could look to pass more in light of Ezekiel Elliot’s suspension. Bryant missed a quarter of Prescott’s rookie season due to injury but the two played well together considering.
- While battling through injuries, Bryant was still one of the league’s top receivers. His 86.3 overall grade ranked 10th among 110 qualifying wide receivers. Including the playoffs, quarterbacks had a passer rating of 114.9 when targeting Bryant which ranked 15th among qualifying receivers.
- Despite their success together last season Bryant and Prescott could improve their efficiency. Among 54 receivers with at least 80 targets, Bryant ranked 50th in catch rate at 56.2 percent. On passes 20 or more yards downfield, Bryant caught just 30.4 percent of his 23 targets, which ranked 54th out of 76 receivers with at least 10 deep targets.
