- The Los Angeles Chargers defense carried the team to a decisive victory over the Denver Broncos in Week 7. The defense was led by a pair of elite pass-rushing performances from edge defenders Joey Bosa and Melvin Ingram. Bosa earned an elite overall grade for the week at 95.3 (tops among edge defenders this week), while Ingram checked in with a grade of 84.3 overall.
- The duo combined for 13 total pressures on a combined 70 pass-rush snaps between them. Ingram racked up six of the pressures, including a hit and sack, while Bosa put up seven with two being sacks. Ingram also had an additional sack taken off the board due to a controversial roughing the passer call.
- On the season, Ingram currently owns the sixth-highest grade among edge defenders at 90.0 overall. He has racked up 35 total pressures, including nine sacks, putting up a pass-rush productivity of 14.3 which ranks third among 4-3 defensive ends.
- After a slow start to the season Bosa has come on strong and has practically been unblockable the past three weeks. During that stretch he has put up the third highest pass-rush productivity among edge defenders at 16.9. Over that time he's racked up five sacks and 20 total pressures. On the season he now ranks ninth among edge defenders with a grade of 87.8 overall.
