- Reported by Jason La Canfora, the Arizona Cardinals have re-signed RB Chris Johnson in lieu of starter David Johnson’s injury. Johnson spent the last two seasons with the Cardinals and was part of the team’s final cuts coming out of training camp.
- The last season Johnson saw significant playing time was 2015, during that season he demonstrated he still had some ability with the ball in his hands forcing the 14th most missed tackles with 30 on 196 carries.
- Since leaving the Titans in 2013, Johnson has been a disappointment overall earning “poor” grades in three consecutive seasons, 48.3 overall in 2014, 39.7 in 2015 and 47.4 in 2016.
