- Tampa Bay Buccaneers coach Dirk Koetter announced Monday that quarterback Jameis Winston will be out for “at least two weeks” after re-injuring his throwing shoulder in Week 9. Winston will be sidelined for the team's upcoming matchups with the New York Jets and the Miami Dolphins, and possibly longer.
- Winston is currently PFF's 16th-ranked quarterback with a 79.1 overall grade. He has struggled attempting to play through the injury, recording season low grades of 54.0 in Week 8 and 50.5 in Week 9.
- Winston has attempted 37 deep passes (targets 20 or more yards downfield) this season, and only completed 10 of them for 309 yards. On deep throws he ranks 28th with a 29.7 percent adjusted completion percentage, and 26th with a 64.1 passer rating.
- Veteran Ryan Fitzpatrick will take over at quarterback for Tampa Bay, and in 89 snaps this season and has a 58.7 overall PFF grade. Protection will be the key with Fitzpatrick, as his 112.2 passer rating when kept clean plummets to 51.1 when he's under pressure.
