  • The Cleveland Browns have confirmed left tackle Joe Thomas sustained a tear to his left triceps in their loss Sunday against the Tennessee Titans. After not missing a single snap (10,363) since entering the NFL, Thomas is now expected to miss the remainder of the season.
  • The former Wisconsin Badger had not shown any signs of slowing down in his 11th year, currently grading as the fourth highest offensive tackle in the league with an overall grade of 86.4. His pass block grade of 88.8 is currently the highest of 68 qualifying offensive tackles through Week 7.
  • The veteran’s pass-blocking efficiency (measures pressure allowed on a per-snap basis with weighting toward sacks allowed) of 97.3 is the sixth-highest among 59 qualifying offensive tackles. He’s one of only eight offensive tackles to not allow a sack this season (minimum 167 pass-block snaps).
  • After the injury to Thomas, Spencer Drango subbed in, allowing two pressures on 18 pass-block snaps. Current right tackle Shon Coleman could slide over, although he has struggled in pass protection this year. Coleman has allowed 31 total pressures this year, while Thomas has only allowed 11.
