- Pro Football Talk is reporting that Cleveland safety Jabrill Peppers still hasn't signed with the team because they haven't come to agreement on the amount of guaranteed money in his contract. Peppers was drafted in the first round by the Browns this year.
- Peppers played safety, cornerback, and linebacker and returned punts at Michigan, and was PFF's fifth-ranked safety in this year's draft class. In 2016, he had an overall PFF grade of 83.0, the 13th-best safety in the nation
- Peppers had the ninth-best run-stop percentage of all draft-eligible safeties last season at 5.9 percent, making 20 stops in 339 snaps against the run. He was ranked 21st in tackling efficiency at 10.7, missing only six tackles in 56 attempts.
