- Cincinnati Bengals edge defender Carl Lawson continued his strong rookie season in Sunday’s 27-24 overtime loss against the Green Bay Packers.
- Lawson has been picking up where he left off in college. His 15.0 pass-rushing productivity (measures pressure created on a per-snap basis with weighting toward sacks) in 2016 ranked 13th among 150 qualifying 3-4 outside linebackers. Lawson notched 10 pressures against the Packers, the second-most among all edge defenders on Sunday. He finished with three sacks and an overall grade of 82.8 (subject to change on review).
- Through nearly three weeks of NFL action, Lawson boasts the highest pass-rushing productivity among edge defenders, with 19.9. His 17 total pressures from the right side are the most among edge defenders.
