- The Chicago Bears have acquired wide receiver Dontrelle Inman from the Los Angeles Chargers in exchange for a seventh-round pick. The Bears have had a slew of injuries at the position and will welcome any help they can get.
- Inman has played just 39 snaps this season for the Chargers after enjoying a breakout campaign in 2016 in which he earned an overall grade of 79.3, ranking 32nd among wide receivers. Inman was moderately effective as a deep threat in 2016, catching six of 13 deep targets for a 17th ranked 46.2 percent deep ball catch rate.
- On top of injuries, the Bears have gotten little to no production from the unit with four of the five receivers on the active roster earning a “poor” grade below 60.0 overall.
