Offensive Player and QB of the Week: QB Julian Sayin, Ohio State

Sayin threw for four touchdowns in Ohio State's win over Penn State — one more than his total number of incompletions in the game. He went 20-of-23 for 316 yards with a pair of big-time throws and no turnover-worthy plays on his way to a 91.7 PFF passing grade.


Defensive Player of the Week: LB Austin Romaine, Kansas State

Romaine was all over the field for Kansas State against Texas Tech this week, earning PFF grades above 80.0 as a run defender, a pass rusher and a coverage defender. He finished the game with nine tackles resulting in a defensive stop, three pressures and an interception.


Offensive Line of the Week: Florida

Despite the team's loss to Georgia this week, Florida’s offensive line had a solid day. Four of their five starting offensive linemen earned 67.5 PFF pass-blocking grades or better, and they combined to allow just two pressures from 31 pass-blocking snaps.

Run Defender of the Week: LB Tywon Christopher, Kennesaw State

Christopher put together one of the best performances against the run in college football this season. He earned a 96.4 PFF run-defense grade, registered seven tackles resulting in a defensive stop and forced a fumble.


Pass Rusher of the Week: EDGE Colin Simmons, Texas

Simmons logged a season-high seven pressures, including one sack, for Texas in a win over Vanderbilt. He posted a 43.4% PFF pass-rush win rate and forced a fumble en route to a 91.3 PFF pass-rush grade.


Coverage Defender of the Week: S Avarion Cole, Western Kentucky

Cole earned a 91.9 PFF coverage grade in Western Kentucky‘s win over New Mexico State. He finished the game with a tackle resulting in a defensive stop and allowed just one reception for eight yards, despite being targeted five times in coverage. He also notched an interception and a pair of pass breakups.
