Offensive Player of the Week: QB Trinidad Chambliss, Ole Miss

While a myriad of star quarterbacks were on display during the second round of the College Football Playoff, none shined brighter than Chambliss. The Ole Miss starter put on a show with a 91.6 overall PFF grade and a 91.8 passing mark, totaling five big-time throws with only one turnover-worthy play. The former Ferris State quarterback was especially elite when Georgia blitzed him, going 12-for-22 with 128 yards, three big-time throws, no turnover-worthy plays and zero sacks.

Defensive Player of the Week: S Devan Boykin, Indiana

Indiana's defense swarmed Alabama‘s inconsistent offense in the Rose Bowl, and Boykin was a focal point. The safety produced an 88.0 PFF coverage grade with six stops in the pass game. Boykin also didn't miss a single tackle attempt in Pasadena.

Offensive Line of the Week: Alabama Crimson Tide

Although Alabama was dismantled in the quarterfinals, its offensive line put forth a respectable effort. The unit produced an 87.3 PFF pass-blocking grade, permitting just five pressures and one sacks against a good Indiana front. Further, the Tide's offensive line easily led all eight teams with a 77.8% impact run-block rate.

Run Defender of the Week: LB Ben Roberts, Texas Tech

Texas Tech's season may have come to an unfortunate end, but it wasn't because of its elite defense. Roberts continued a great postseason period with a nation-high 89.3 PFF run-defense grade against Oregon, recording six stops with one tackle for loss/no gain. He also didn't miss a single tackle against the Ducks' good ground game.

Pass Rusher of the Week: EDGE Rueben Bain Jr., Miami (FL)

Bain continued his season-long tear by wreaking havoc against Ohio State in the Cotton Bowl. The projected first-round pick led all players in the quarterfinals with an 86.7 PFF pass-rushing grade and an unreal 32.4% pass-rush win rate. Altogether, Bain accumulated eight pressures against the Buckeyes.
