  • Initially projected as a Day 3 prospect in the PFF Preseason Draft Guide, USC RB Ronald Jones II is off to a great start in 2017. He forced eight missed tackles on only 19 rushes against Western Michigan, averaging 5.8 yards after contact per rush (8.4 yards per carry) while finding the end zone three times.
  • Jones has been a notable big-play threat for the Trojans as he had a 50-plus yard run in four different games last season and his big game against Western Michigan improved his career yards per carry average of 6.3.
  • We’re still looking to see more out of Jones in the passing game this season after dropping three of his 21 catchable targets in his first two years. He caught his only target for 18 yards against Western Michigan.
