  • Oklahoma Edge defender Ogbonnia Okoronkwo was pegged as a top-40 prospect in the PFF Preseason Draft Guide and he stepped up on the big stage with two sacks and a hurry on only 29 pass-rushes against Ohio State.
  • Versatility is the name of the game for Okoronkwo who is closer to a pure linebacker than he is a defensive end. He spent 17 snaps in coverage against the Buckeyes showing well against the run and finishing with five stops including the two sacks.
  • Last season, Okoronkwo posted the top pass-rush productivity in the draft class at 18.6 as he accumulated nine sacks, 14 QB hits and 36 hurries on only 250 rushes. He's off to a strong start in 2017 with three sacks, one QB hit and four hurries on only 46 rushes, good for a pass-rush productivity of 15.3.
