Week 2 has come to a close, and several of the NFL’s first-round rookies turned in solid performances. As always, we’ll continue to track the progress, grades and principal opponents each week.

Pick No. 1: Tennessee Titans: QB Cam Ward

Ward turned in a more courageous performance this week against the Rams while dealing with pressure on 39% of his dropbacks. Despite that, he produced the first two big-time throws of his career, including an incredible pass to Elic Ayomanor in the endzone halfway back across the field to his left as he was rolling toward the right sideline. The highlights will likely continue in spurts for Ward. He just needs better pass protection if he's to find consistency.

Pick No. 2: Jacksonville Jaguars: WR/CB Travis Hunter

Hunter got his first taste of being a true two-way player in the NFL, splitting reps nearly equally between wide receiver and cornerback. He caught three passes on offense, though Jacksonville has been reluctant to unleash him downfield so far. Hunter's snaps at cornerback were far more eventful, as he earned a pass breakup in coverage but also committed two penalties, including a crucial one on the Bengals’ game-winning drive.
