Grading all 32 first-round rookies after Week 11

  • Walter Nolen turns in a dominant showing: The Cardinals rookie had been hampered by injuries early in the year, but his 90.3 PFF overall grade on just 23 snaps against the 49ers was a glimpse of his star potential.
  • Colston Loveland is ramping up into a weapon: He reeled in three passes totaling 40 yards, including a crucial third-down pickup in the fourth quarter, against the Vikings. Loveland also earned five positive grades as a run blocker and seems to be gaining comfort in Ben Johnson’s run schemes.

Estimated Reading Time: 13 minutes

Many of the NFL’s first-round rookies are contributing to playoff contenders as we head into the latter stretch of the 2025 season. As always, we’ll continue to track their performance, PFF grades and principal opponents as we barrel toward the end of the regular season.

Pick No. 1: Tennessee Titans: QB Cam Ward

  • Overall Rookie Grade: 54.9 (Rank: 3/4)
  • Principal Opponent: N/A
  • Week 11 Snaps: 59
  • Week 11 Grade: 57.2

Ward finished his second matchup against the Texans‘ vaunted defense with a 53.8 PFF passing grade, as well as two big-time throws and two turnover-worthy plays. Both of his big-time throws were perfect passes on out-breaking routes near the sideline, the second of which set up Tennessee to tie the game in the final two minutes. Ward’s biggest issue of late has been fumbles. His eight fumbles are tied for the most in the NFL through Week 11.

Pick No. 2: Jacksonville Jaguars: WR/CB Travis Hunter

  • Overall Rookie Grade (Offense): 62.2 (Rank: 9/12)
  • Principal Opponent (Offense): N/A
  • Week 11 Offense Snaps: 0
  • Week 11 Offense Grade: N/A
  • Overall Rookie Grade (Defense): 73.2 (Rank: 3/15)
  • Principal Opponent (Defense): N/A
  • Week 11 Defense Snaps: 0
  • Week 11 Defense Grade: N/A

Hunter is out for the rest of the season due to a knee injury.
