The Dallas Cowboys signed wide receiver Michael Gallup to a five-year, $62.5 million contract, a source confirmed to PFF on Sunday.
The extension comes one day after the Cowboys agreed to trade wide receiver Amari Cooper to the Cleveland Browns.

Gallup tore his ACL in Week 17 but is progressing well in his recovery, according to a source. He’s currently expected to return before the 2022 NFL season.
The 2018 third-round pick out of Colorado State will rejoin CeeDee Lamb, Noah Brown, Simi Fehoko and T.J. Vasher in Dallas’ wide receiver corps. Cedrick Wilson and Malik Turner are both impending free agents.

Gallup caught 35 passes for 445 yards with two touchdowns in an injury-shortened 2021 season. He has 193 catches for 2,902 yards with 15 touchdowns in his four-year NFL career.
His most productive season came in 2019 before the Cowboys drafted Lamb when he caught 66 passes for 1,107 yards with six touchdowns.
On a per-year basis, Gallup will be the NFL’s 22nd-highest-paid wide receiver prior to 2022 free agency, which officially starts Wednesday, March 16 at 4 p.m. ET.
