The tight end position has become quite the polarizing one for fantasy football purposes. Case in point: After runaway leader Rob Gronkowski, the rest of last year’s top-10 fantasy tight ends were separated by just 3 fantasy points per game over the course of the regular season. The previous year, swap out Gronkowski with Jimmy Graham playing the American Pharoah role and the rest of the TE1s were separated by the same 3-point margin.
Of course, by now those two are both household names in even casual fantasy circles as the clear-cut head of the class among tight ends. But that was hardly the case just a few short years ago.
