Fantasy: IDP Stock Market - Week 10

Desmond BishopBuy

LB – Desmond Bishop – Packers

While Clay Matthews has been taking all the plaudits on the Green Bay defense Desmond Bishop has been quietly becoming an IDP must have. He got his first start in week 5 and since then he has been on the field for 290/311 snaps notching up 29 solo tackles and 6 assists, and average of 9 tackles a game. His season low as a starter is a +0.3 against the Vikings and his +15.7 grading makes him the #5 ILB. As he wasn’t a factor in weeks 1-4 he may still be available on the waiver wire, if so, pick him up.

CB – Charles Tillman – Bears

In the past four weeks Tillman has 3 forced fumbles, 2 fumble recoveries and an interception. By anyone’s standards that is some good fantasy production. After a slow start to the season with 3 consecutive negative gradings he had a season best performance (+4.5) last week. He has only missed one snap all year and will continue to be fantasy relevant.

Hold

LB – Karlos Dansby – Dolphins

Dansby had been struggling for fantasy production so far this season despite a +9.4 rating, but the past 3 weeks have seen that change. In those 3 weeks he has 25 tackles (21 solo) of which 11 were stops. It’s a good sign that that he is getting more accustomed to the Dolphins defense and if you were thinking about cutting him lose, don’t.

Sell

LB – Brian Cushing – Texans

Cushing’s return to the NFL following a suspension was viewed with intrigue. His sensational rookie season of +18.9 left many expecting big things. As a result he was drafted in IDP leagues despite the fact he would miss the first 4 games in 2010. However he has failed to live up to the hype and only has 20 tackles, no sacks and a -0.2 grading. He has simply not delivered the same level of pressure to opposing QBs despite not missing a snap. He only has 3 QB hits and 5 pressures in his 4 starts. Until he shows more production he should be riding your bench.

S – Charles Godfrey – Panthers

A hot start to the year saw Godfrey climb IDP ranking boards after 4 interceptions in 5 games, but his recent form has been of concern. With only 10 tackles over a 3 game spell and no turnovers he has not been racking up the fantasy points people expected. In fact he only has one double-digit tackle performance all year and a -1.0 grading shows he was over-valued on his early season form. Unless he can begin to make more plays he shouldn’t be in your starting line-up.
