As we enter Week 15 of the fantasy football season, it’s that time of the week against when we scour the waiver wire for the top IDP prospects. If you’re reading the IDP waiver wire at this stage of the year, congratulations, you made and/or advanced in your league’s playoffs!
At this time of year in fantasy football you’ll often want a “swing for the fences” option, especially if you’re facing a superior squad. Hubbard brings some of that to the table as he’s seeing some usage in some goal-line packages as a fullback. He saw two such snaps last week, and nine total on the year, which gives him an upside few others offer (at least waiver-wire eligible names — Akiem Hicks certainly shouldn’t be). Hubbard has been no slouch in his typical role on a Sunday either; his two sacks, two hits, and four hurries in just 47 pass-rush snaps over the last four weeks make him a top-10 pass-rusher for effectiveness. A score of zero last week won’t have won him many favors with owners, but sometimes you have to take a risk.
