We have three Thursday games on tap for Week 2 of the 2017 NFL preseason, and while it’s a short slate, it still provides plenty of opportunity for DFSers
Week 2 of the preseason is where things get a little “easier” from a research perspective. We have a full week’s worth of new data at our disposal when making decisions. We no longer have to rely on last year’s data and your typical preseason coachspeak.
Below are some of my top plays for this Thursday’s games. (There is one Friday game this week, but it's barely involved in any of the DFS slates, so I'm not considering it.)
Quarterbacks
Eagles quarterback Matt McGloin played an incredible 54 snaps in the first preseason game of the year, and threw an insane 42 passes. That’d be good for a regular-season game. He only threw for 205 yards and didn’t toss a touchdown, however, so there wasn’t much to show for it. If you’re a volume chaser, though, McGloin might just be your guy.
Bills quarterback Nathan Peterman played 37 snaps in the first preseason game, and threw 25 passes (fourth-most among quarterbacks last week). He’s slated to play with the second team on Thursday against the Eagles.
