The preseason comes to a close tonight, and while 32 teams’ top priority is avoiding injury to key players, these final games offer an opportunity to pad DFS bankrolls before the regular season kicks off. The vast majority of Week 1 starters will not play, and those that do will see minimal snaps.
For the first time this preseason, several skill players will play wire-to-wire, and many others will play more than a full half. Like with all preseason DFS slates, the hours leading up to kickoff are vital, with beat reporters tweeting out tidbits on who will be in uniform and who, often surprisingly, will not. Be sure to remain plugged in to Twitter during that time.
Until that point, however, here are some DFS plays for the preseason’s final week.
Quarterbacks
Chase Daniel, Philadelphia Eagles: The Jets are in town, but are resting the more worrisome members of their defense. Daniel will play at least a full half, with Sam Bradford bubble-wrapped and Carson Wentz’s ribs keeping him out. Daniel’s 84 preseason snaps top all Eagles passers, and he has performed adequately when given time – with a 91.2 quarterback rating and positive PFF grade.
