Start/sit advice for Week 9 in IDP leagues

The fantasy playoffs are closing in, so more than ever fantasy owners will be agonizing over their weekly start-or-sit decisions. That’s still true even in IDP leagues. Luckily I’m here to help, and I’ve highlighted some of the stronger matchups below, but as always I’d highly recommend you do some data crunching of your own in making these calls. Firstly I’d recommend swotting up on the positional matchups, but don’t neglect our projected team tackle totals chart, and the recently launch OL-DL matchup guide and last but not least, the shadow corner matrix.

Defensive linemen

Start: Yannick Ngakoue and Dante Fowler, Jacksonville

You can start either of the Jags starting defensive ends this week against a Chiefs team that will be without its starting quarterback and down to the dregs at running back. The Chiefs have proved to be a plus matchup for opposing defensive lineman all year, currently ranking as the second-best matchup, so the likes of Ngakoue (four sacks, three forced fumbles, one interception) and Fowler (two sacks) should add to their sack totals this week. Both players have been disappointing over the last three weeks, but this game should mark a turn around, and I like both as upside DL2s this week.

Safety worth way more than 2 points. Help protect your family with fast, free will.
