It’s just days away now. No, not Christmas — our fantasy football championships games. What could be better? The holiday season, live NFL action, and the most meaningful fantasy game of the year; it sure is a great time to be alive. Best of luck to all of you in your league finals. Don’t change what you’ve been doing and outthink yourself this week, and if you’re in doubt, depend on the data, or send a PFF analyst a tweet and get some first-hand advice. As always though, I’ve got some IDP starts and sits for you, this time for championship week.
Defensive linemen
Start: William Hayes, Los Angeles Rams
A lot of the better matchups this week fall on 3-4 teams, which don’t offer particularly appealing plays, but the Rams get the 49ers, the sixth-best matchup. Hayes is a solid veteran who doesn’t offer the highest sack upside, but does offer a decent floor due to his tackle totals. Hayes has recorded 10 total tackles in his last two games, and looking back to the Rams Week 1 clash with San Francisco, Hayes notched up five tackles in that game. If you need a start who won’t draw a blank and has the opportunity to reach low double-figure scores, Hayes is your guy this week.
