Welcome to the Week 11 edition of Snaps, Pace & Stats, where we examine trends in snap totals and no-huddle usage. It is meant as a 30,000-foot view of upcoming games, with the goal of identifying which matchups will — and which will not — be played on fertile fantasy soil.

Up in pace

New Orleans Saints at Carolina Panthers

These teams combined for 79 points and 147 plays just over a month ago in New Orleans. While they won’t be in the “Coors Field of the NFL” (hat-tip, Rich Hribar), we can still expect elevated snap volume. Saints’ games combine for a league-high average of 134.8 plays, and Panthers’ contests produce 130.9 (ninth-most). Even after running a paltry 51 snaps against the Broncos, the Saints are tied for the third-most snaps per game (69.1). Carolina averages 67.3 (fifth-most), and 70.8 at home with Cam Newton healthy.

Safety worth way more than 2 points. Help protect your family with fast, free will.
