Games with a single strategy get boring fast. Chutes & Ladders? Avoid the chutes, go for the ladders. Not very complicated. But poker? Well heck, there are a thousand ways to play that.
Daily fantasy is far more the latter than the former. Setting a football lineup? Well, you can start in any number of ways. Figure out who you want to steer clear of first, and you can pare down a daunting player list quickly. Figure out who you trust the absolute most, and those spots are filled. Find a bargain, and you can spend the most elsewhere. Et cetera et cetera.
