This week, there will only be one IDP column due to the clash with Thanksgiving, so instead I’ll this will be more of an amalgamation between the waiver-wire article usually published on a Tuesday with Thursday’s IDP start-sit. With that being said, let’s crack straight on.
Defensive linemen
The top three matchups for edge rushers this week fall to the Lions and a pair of 3-4 defenses in the Ravens and 49ers. Detroit has Ziggy Ansah back in the lineup after injury and looking fresher after the bye week, so I’m expecting a decent performance from him against the Vikings, who have allowed seven sacks, 14 hits and 23 hurries of their quarterback in the last three weeks alone. This includes the Week 9 game between these two teams at U.S. Bank Stadium, in which Kerry Hyder had two sacks and two hits. With Ansah now back and looking healthy enough to see an uptick in his snaps, he cements his place as a weekly DL1, while Hyder and Devin Taylor both have seen their playing time drop down by about 10 to 15 percent in a timeshare now opposite Ansah. If Hyder or Taylor are available in your league they are certainly worth a plug and play this week as upside DL3 plays.
