So far this year, tight end has basically held to form. The top seven tight ends in fantasy scoring through 12 weeks (heading into Monday night) were taken inside the position's top 14 in ADP, per ESPN, with six of the top seven drafted inside the top eight.
Quarterback has been a little rocky, owing to Aaron Rodgers' injury and the rise of Carson Wentz, but with Deshaun Watson getting injured and Alex Smith regressing, it isn't crazy.
Even running back mostly makes sense, Alvin Kamara excluded. Eight of the top 10 running backs in fantasy scoring were drafted in the position's top 12, with Kamara and Mark Ingram the exceptions.
It's wide receiver where things are weird. Four of the current top 10 fantasy receivers weren't top-20 receivers on draft day, and three (Marvin Jones, 58th; Adam Thielen, 39th; Robby Anderson, 68th) were draft-day afterthoughts. Wide receiver is the weird position so far this season, even if Antonio Brown and Julio Jones (draft's days 1 and 2) are inside the top three so far.
