Pull up a weekly NFL power rankings at random. Say, Week 5. From a random site's rankings, here were the top five teams in the league at that point:
1. Kansas City Chiefs
2. Atlanta Falcons
3. Green Bay Packers
4. Denver Broncos
5. Pittsburgh Steelers
Let's run that list again, with their records at the time of those rankings and their records since:
|1||Kansas City Chiefs||4-0||2-4|
|3||Green Bay Packers||3-1||2-4|
Let's do the same, for the teams in the bottom five of those rankings:
|28||Los Angeles Chargers||0-4||4-2|
|31||San Francisco 49ers||0-4||1-5|
The moral of this story? It often takes us a while to figure out who the good teams are. But we by and large know who the crappy teams are in a hurry. It's always a risk to sit down a quarter of the way through the season and think we can draw any hard-and-fast conclusions.
But now we're finishing up Week 11, and our fantasy regular seasons are reaching the end. The results are meaningful. The box scores give you stats. PFF Fantasy goes deeper, offering up a more in-depth look at the statistical takeaways from each game. Below are all the games of Week 10.
