Free-agent acquisition budget (FAAB) leagues level the playing field for nabbing fantasy free agents after each week of the NFL season. They also allow fantasy managers to employ a great deal more strategy when acquiring players because each team has a limited amount of dollars to work with.

All players in this article will be rostered in less than half of Yahoo leagues unless otherwise noted. Here is how you should be allocating your FAAB heading into Week 13.

RB Cam Akers, Los Angeles Rams

Suggested FAAB Spend: 10-30%

The suggested bid range is so wide on Akers because we are heading into the final week of the fantasy football regular season for most leagues. If you’re in desperate need of a spot-starter at running back to make the playoffs, spend it all on Akers. There aren’t many useful streaming options at running back, so Akers splitting the Rams’ carries will have to do.
