As we saw this week, one injury can have far-reaching consequences for NFL and fantasy teams. The Vikings’ and Cowboys’ seasons were greatly altered and their players’ fantasy outlooks may look dramatically different in re-draft leagues. But dynasty leagues are a different animal — injuries such as the ones suffered by Teddy Bridgewater and Tony Romo certainly affect the short-term fantasy prospects of certain Vikings and Cowboys players, but don’t do nearly as much to a player's long-term prospects. While it’s too early to tell if those players’ dynasty values will be affected, the following players’ worth is apparent now.

Quarterback: Blake Bortles, Jacksonville Jaguars

Bortles came a long way in his sophomore season, soaring from a 11:17 touchdown-to-interception ratio to 35:18 and throwing for nearly 1,500 more passing yards to finish with 4,428. Bortles finished as the fourth-best fantasy quarterback for the season.

But fantasy is the operative term. In other metrics, Bortles is very average, if not below average. Those 18 interceptions actually led the league, as did his 14 fumbles (five of which were lost). When Bortles can hold on to the ball, he has yet to show he’s very accurate. While many other statistics improved, his completion percentage stayed flat at 58.6 percent, compared to 58.9 his rookie season. Bortles finished near the bottom of the league in that measurement, ranking 31st out of 35 qualifiers.
