It’s hard to believe that Week 4 is almost here already, but the good news is that we now have a fair amount of 2016 data to inform our DFS decisions.

Matchup positives and negatives are now easier to spot, as are player roles in this new season. So which players are trending downward this week, either because of how their team is using them or because of their matchup? Let’s find out.

Below is a list of players you might want to leave out of your DFS lineups this week.

Quarterback

Carson Palmer, Arizona Cardinals (DraftKings: $6,300; FanDuel: $8,000)

This is not just a knee-jerk reaction to Palmer’s abysmal Week 3 outing. He currently sits at 11th in pass attempts, 10th in yards and 15th in total points scored by quarterbacks. He ranks 22nd in fantasy points per dropback.

With Michael Floyd being evaluated for a concussion and John Brown off to a slow start this season, Palmer’s weapon rack isn’t as impressive as it was a few weeks ago. I’d take a shot on some of the other quarterbacks in Palmer’s price range, including Kirk Cousins and Joe Flacco.
