Finding bargains and values in DFS is the key to any winning roster, both in cash games and tournaments. Our goal today is to find you the best bargains for your cash games and tournaments. We will specify what games to use each bargain in and how to capitalize on them in each given week.
High ownership is to be expected from some of these bargains, and we will touch in that in the writeup, so they should be used in cash games. However, some of these players are also excellent buys for tournaments and won’t have high ownership percentages. Generally speaking, quarterback is the one position where ownership tends to be spread out the most — in other words feel free using these bargains both in tournaments and cash games.
Below are the best bargains for Week 3.
DraftKings and FanDuel
Rashard Higgins, WR, Cleveland Browns
Higgins is this week’s biggest bargain on both sides. After spending time working with DeShone Kizer this offseason prior to his promotion to the first-team offense, Higgins has a dynamic rapport already locked in with the young quarterback. Higgins racked up 11 targets (seven receptions, 95 yards) in his first extended action last week, and at $4,000 on DK and $5,100 on FD you won’t find that kind of volume per dollar anywhere else this week. Be careful using Higgins in tournament as his ownership should be astronomically high.
DraftKings
Matthew Stafford, QB, Detroit Lions
Stafford attempted just four passes against the Giants in the second half of his Week 2 game because that’s all he had to. Those looking at Stafford’s per-game numbers won’t be buying into him and they’ll be missing out on an excellent matchup against a Falcons team that will keep him throwing often. The Falcons allowed the most points to fantasy quarterbacks in 2016 and will be without top edge rusher Vic Beasley in this game.
