5 WR/CB Matchups to Target

WR Michael Pittman Jr., Indianapolis Colts vs. CB Sean Murphy-Bunting, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Colts didn't need much from Pittman this past week, and it resulted in a 4.3-point performance. However, we shouldn’t let a quiet game cloud our judgment — Pittman is still the WR13 in scoring and has scored 10-plus fantasy points in all but three contests this season.

Pittman will spend time being guarded by every Bucs cornerback, but Murphy-Bunting presents a juicy matchup for the second-year receiver. The third-year cornerback just returned from injury and is allowing the third-most receiving yards per coverage snap among all qualifying cornerbacks on PFF’s WR/CB Matchup Chart.

WR Brandin Cooks, Houston Texans vs. CB ISAIAH DUNNNew York Jets

Cooks is a risky play, but a player of his caliber is a near must-start for all fantasy rosters. He’s been inconsistent recently, scoring double-digit fantasy points just three times in five games since Week 6. Quarterback Tyrod Taylor’s return should help, and so should his matchup against Dunn and the Jets.

Dunn has been targeted just seven times this season but has brutal marks across the board. His 141.1 passer rating allowed, 26.5 receiving yards allowed per reception and 2.72 yards allowed per coverage snap are all the worst marks on this roster by a large margin.

WR Odell Beckham Jr., Los Angeles Rams vs. CB KEVIN KING, Green Bay Packers
