Add rookies who could emerge down the stretch
Rookies tend to get more opportunities and become more familiar with their offenses as the season progresses, and this season, a handful of higher draft picks could emerge down the stretch. Three first-round receivers are currently rostered in less than 25% of Yahoo leagues: Treylon Burks, Jahan Dotson and Jameson Williams.
Burks returned from injured reserve (IR) last week with a modest 24 receiving yards from three catches. Nonetheless, Burks ran the second-most routes on the team and was targeted on over 20% of the routes he ran. The Tennessee Titans' passing game won’t ever be explosive, but it’s wide open for Burks to take the reins.
Dotson also returned in Week 10, and he has a chance to be a strong No. 2 option to Terry McLaurin for the rest of the season. Dotson scored more than 12 PPR fantasy points in three of the four games he’s played this season.
Williams is more of a speculative playoff add, but leagues with IR roster spots provide an opportunity to stash him for a likely early December return. Williams has explosive speed and could immediately jump in as the Detroit Lions’ most productive receiver.
