Labor Day weekend is basically upon us, which means it’s the last weekend of fantasy draft season before the regular season begins. It’s never too late to get in some last-minute cramming, so with that in mind, Thursday and Friday I’ll be breaking down the top value pick for every team.

As the late, great, Rodney Dangerfield would say, these are the guys who get no respect, at least from the fantasy community. While there are certainly valid reasons for each of these players being drafted where they are, it also presents an opportunity for the bullish-minded drafter to buy low.

Below, we’ll cover the NFC.

NFC East

Dallas Cowboys: Jason Witten, TE (FantasyPros ADP 129, TE14)

Even in a lost year for Tony Romo, Witten still finished 12th in fantasy scoring among tight ends and played at least 97 percent of the Cowboys’ offensive snaps for the ninth time in the last 10 seasons (he’s missed just one game in his 13-year career). With Romo under center for all or most of the previous eight seasons, Witten finished as a top-10 fantasy TE every single year, including six times inside the top six. He’s also seen 90 or more targets every year since 2006. At 34 years old he may no longer be among the position’s elite, but then again, we once assumed the same about Tony Gonzalez and Antonio Gates.
