- With the third pick of the third round (67th overall), the Saints selected HB Alvin Kamara from Tennessee.
- Kamara is one of the most difficult backs to tackle in the draft class, finishing second in elusive rating after forcing a missed tackle once every 2.92 touches in 2016.
- Kamara’s ability as a receiver makes him an excellent fit for the Saints offense; he averaged 2.4 yards per route run last season, the fourth-best mark of any HB in the draft.
