The New England Patriots select Sony Michel 31st overall in the 2018 NFL Draft

With the 31st selection of the 2018 NFL Draft, the New England Patriots have selected Sony Michel. The former Georgia running back was selected 31st overall after finishing the 2017 season with an 83.3 overall grade, joining his teammate at Georgia, Isaiah Wynn.

  • Michel ranked sixth among draft-eligible running backs in elusive rating in 2017 (95.1).
  • He ranked 13th among draft-eligible running backs in pass-blocking efficiency in 2017 (96.9).
