Panthers go RB, take Christian McCaffrey at 8th overall

The Carolina Panthers took RB Christian McCaffrey with their first-round pick, eighth overall, Thursday.
The Panthers add another explosive player to an already impressive offense.
McCaffrey was the best receiving back in the draft, and he totaled 100 catches over the past three seasons.
McCaffrey is a matchup nightmare who can line up in the backfield, out wide or in the slot, and also adds immediate value as a punt and kick returner.
The Stanford product finished with a career-high 3.3 rushing yards after contact in 2016.
