  • The Buffalo Bills selected Temple offensive tackle Dion Dawkins with the 63rd overall pick Friday after trading up.
  • Dawkins played all 982 of his snaps in 2016 at left tackle, but is expected to either play at right tackle or at guard with the Bills.
  • While he was not as dominant in the running game, Dawkins excelled as a pass protector since he gave up only two sacks, two hits, and five hurries in 2016, leading to a pass-blocking efficiency rating of 98.4, which was the fourth-highest in this draft class.
  • Cyrus Kouandjio – the Bills’ incumbent right tackle – gave up 1 sack and 12 hurries on 207 pass blocking plays in 2016, which earned him a pass blocking efficiency rating of 95.2, 29th among offensive tackles in the NFL.
